5. Dane Swan

Team: Collingwood Magpies

The six-time All-Australian and 2011 Brownlow Medallist, the Collingwood on-baller is unsurprisingly once again amongst the perennial favourites for the Brownlow.

The man affectionately labelled as the ‘Pig’, Swan has been consistently brilliant this year, with 39 disposal games against Melbourne and GWS, 41 disposals against fierce rivals Carlton and more impressively, a 2-goal, 34-disposal man-of-the-match display against West Coast in round 22.

His exploits this season rewarded him with a place as the All-Australian ruck rover. Should poll well, despite this year’s Brownlow effectively turning into a two-horse race.

Can Swan overcome the odds and secure his second Brownlow?
