Mario Balotelli was back in the spotlight again this week, as he so often seems to be these days.

But this time it was for footballing reasons, rather than for setting off fireworks in his home or giving huge amounts of cash to the homeless.

The controversy unfolded in the Rossoneri's home defeat to Serie A rivals Napoli, who are amongst the favourites for the title this season.

Despite the fact Balotelli scored in the game, and was then sent off after the game had ended, the big talking point was his first ever penalty miss.

The Italian international has a fantastic penalty record, on par with the likes or Rickie Lambert, who never seems to miss.

But Super Mario found his kick saved by on-loan Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina.
