Left Backs

Luke Shaw (Southampton, 27)

Showing the kind of promise that Gareth Bale showed at his age, Luke Shaw is another product of Southampton's excellent youth facilities. At age 27 and with the potential to be as good as Ashley Cole, Shaw will be at his footballing peak in 2022 and ready to take the starting slot for the Three Lions.

Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal, 32)

The 2022 World Cup may be a tournament too far for the 32-year old Kieran Gibbs. After biding his time for the international retirement of Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines, Gibbs by this time would have enjoyed several tournaments as England's number one left-back.
