The 2013/14 Premier League campaign is only five games old, but a group of standout performers have already emerged - some surprising, others less so.

Arsenal currently top the league table, so expect to see a couple of their players in this XI, while Everton also have a few representatives after an encouraging start to life under new manager Roberto Martinez.

Some of the usual suspects appear after unsurprisingly good starts to the season, while other high-profile names do not appear either because of injury-hit starts or simply due to their below-par performances.

Fans of the likes of Fulham, Crystal Palace and in particular Sunderland are best advised to cover their eyes at this point.
