Throughout the division's history, the Premier League has witnessed a number of hotly-contested managerial rivalries.

As the tense nature of top-flight competition has rapidly intensified over the years, tempers have often threatened to boil over in the respective technical areas as well as on the field of play.

A number of these rivalries have been somewhat short lived, but others have stood the test of time to become long-running feuds akin to the like one might find in a television soap opera.

Such rivalries have been a source of constant controversy and pure entertainment for media and fans alike, with so-called 'mind games' now enjoying an increasingly prominent role each season in the English top-flight.
