Chelsea starlet reveals Premier League obsession

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has claimed that he watches every minute of every single Premier League fixture.

20-year-old Lukaku, who is currently on a season-long loan at Roberto Martinez's Everton, came off the substitutes bench to play a starring role for the Toffees as he netted a last-gasp winner to give the Merseyside outfit a 3-2 win over West Ham United at Upton Park on Saturday.

The Belgian international, who impressed during a similar arrangement with Steve Clarke's West Bromwich Albion during the 2012/13 campaign, has confirmed rumours that he watches every single minute of top-flight action with the intention of studying and potentially learning from the performances of his fellow forwards.

"It’s true that I watch every single game in the league – 90 minutes. I take my time to study and to learn other strikers’ movements and to learn about other defenders. I take my time," he was quoted by the Metro.

The decision to loan out the former Anderlecht man has been met with confusion by many Blues fans, despite the arrival of veteran Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o from troubled Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala towards the end of the transfer window.

Jose Mourinho's side are currently fourth in the Premier League table after collecting 10 points from their opening five games. They are in action on Tuesday against League One opposition in the form of Swindon Town in the Capital One Cup, while they return top flight-action against London rivals Tottenham this weekend.
