Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has laid on more goals than any other player across Europe's top five leagues this season, surpassing Arsenal's 'king of the assist', Mesut Ozil, reports the Daily Express.
The Spain international's five assists for the Catalan club in the early part of 2013/14 has taken him to the top of the charts, above his former employers' £42.4million record-signing.
Ozil has made a fine start to his career in north London, and played a part in all three goals in Arsenal's 3-1 victory over Stoke City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
He also laid on the opening goal for Olivier Giroud as Arsene Wenger's side claimed a 2-1 win away at Marseille in the opening round of Champions League group stage fixtures, and drew plenty of plaudits following his impressive debut for Arsenal against Sunderland the weekend before.
The 24-year-old Germany international has more assists than any other player in the Premier League, but has been overtaken by former Arsenal captain Fabregas, who is enjoying a similarly successful spell at Camp Nou.
