England legend Gary Linekar believes Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season - but has admitted that it could be the most open race in years.
Last season's top three all changed their managers in the summer, with David Moyes taking over at Manchester United, Jose Mourinho returning to Chelsea and Manuel Pellegrini taking charge of City.
However, after the Citizens' fine 4-1 victory over Moyes' side last weekend, Linekar believes Pellergrini's side have the edge in the title race.
When speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show, Linekar said: “This season is hugely unpredictable.
“With Manchester United changing things so much, City having a new manager, Jose back at Chelsea, the huge changes at Spurs, [Mesut] Ozil coming in at Arsenal, even Liverpool making a resurgence, I think it could well be the most open season in years."
Linekar's tip for the title, Manchester City continued their fine form last night as they beat Wigan Athletic 5-0 in the Capital One Cup at the Etihad, in what was a repeat of last year's FA Cup final.
Chelsea also were victorious with a 2-0 win over Swindon Town and Manchester United will go head-to-head with rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford tonight.
