Mostly due to his previous success with the Blues but also partly because of the sheer anger and protracted misery many Chelsea fans felt during the ill-fated reign of deeply unpopular Spaniard Rafael Benitez last season, Jose Mourinho was welcomed back to Stamford Bridge with open arms this summer.

Following a particularly turbulent spell as manager of Spanish giants Real Madrid, supporters and pundits alike were eager to discover if the talented Portuguese was capable of bringing sustained success back to West London.

The start to Mourinho's second stint with Chelsea has been intriguing to say the least. While the club currently sit fourth in the Premier League table after collecting 10 points from their five opening top-flight fixtures, the embryonic campaign has been dogged with confusion and controversy over the 50-year-old's decision to keep many of his star names on the substitutes bench.

Here, GMS lists five players who should be looking to leave Mourinho's Chelsea in January.
