Premier League's famous four-goals club (1)

Published 1 Comments

It was 20 years ago today that Efan Ekoku became the first player in Premier League history to score four goals in the same game, helping Norwich City to a remarkable 5-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park, on September 25, 1993.

Since then, the Nigerian striker has been joined by no fewer than 22 fellow professionals, on the star-studded list of FOUR-midable single game goal-getters, though only six of those players - like Ekoku - achieved that feat away from home.

Ekoku went on to net a total of 16 goals in 38 Premier League appearances for the Canaries, before leaving Carrow Road to sign for Wimbledon in a £900,000 deal, where he added another 36 goals in 122 games.

In tribute to Ekoku's landmark quartet of goals, GiveMeSport remembers some of football's other famous away day foursomes from the Premier League era…
