PES 14 has been plagued by problems with a system bugs preventing gamers from downloading required expansion packs, and resulting in some to turn their attention to the launch of FIFA 14.
Gamers with the XBox 360 have been unable to access the game's online multi-player mode, reports The Mirror, with issues surrounding the downloading of a Data Pack from the menu.
This pack is designed to ensure all users are playing with the same up-to-date data, but this has been taking an excruciatingly long time for gamers to download, before producing an error or installing incorrectly.
The latest in the PES series was launched only last week but players are now being told to wait for Konami to fix the current problems before they can enjoy the game to its full capacity.
Some gamers are, however, managing to get around the issue on with the XBox 360 version by using PC software and a USB stick, although Konami continue to work on a more satisfactory solution.
The news of the PES problems come just one day after the launch of FIFA 14 in North America, and and just two days before the official release across Europe.
