Raw, live in Chicago, kicked off by paying respect to Angelo Savaldi, the world’s oldest wrestler who passed away yesterday - Mae Young now becomes the oldest living professional wrestler at 90-years-old.

Again WWE began with the power couple of the WWE deciding how best to punish last week’s saviours of Daniel Bryan. The couple jointly picked apart the 10 men who stood on the ramp and the COO and his wife then thanked them for last week, before putting them in the main event an elimination match against The Shield, with Daniel Bryan as their partner. The first ever 11 on three handicap match.

How long are The Shield going to put up with being Triple H’s right hand men? For weeks they have been thrown in at the deep end and expected to deliver a message, how long can they continue? The Shield have made a lot of enemies as of late and at some point all these enemies will come back to get them.

Stephanie Mcmahon finally announced that the WWE Universe would vote who would face Randy Orton later in the night, using the WWE App, you could vote for either R-Truth, Dolph Ziggler or Rob Van Dam.

Kofi Kingston v Alberto Del Rio

The Jamaican superstar could put himself onto The World Heavyweight Championship picture if he got the win over Alberto Del Rio. Kofi tried to build some momentum, knowing he still had that daunting match to look forward to but after injuring his shoulder, Del Rio took advantage and made Kofi tap to the cross arm breaker.

Backstage The Miz was with Renee and looked like he had healed well from last week’s attack by The Viper. Triple H interrupted to tell him he was not going to touch Randy Orton tonight but instead he could give Chicago what they wanted and host Miz TV with the Giant Big Show.

The Wyatt Family v The Prime Time Players

Back in the ring and Darren and Titus faced Harper and Rowan, Darren could use his quickness against the bigger Wyatt’s and Titus O’Neil came in with the strength that picked the Wyatt’s apart. The Prime Time Players looked to be rolling but after Darren disposed of Rowan, Harper hit Titus with a hard clothesline for the three count, after the bell the Wyatt’s continued the attack with the tale of sister Abigail’s kiss to Darren Young.

The Miz was out for Miz TV next and welcomed The Big Show, with the question on everyone’s lips, why was he allowing the Mcmahon's to punch him around? He is the biggest guy in the locker room. The Miz told The Giant to step up, but after calling Stephanie a witch, out she came to defend his comments and told Miz that what he was saying was borderline slander, but then turned everything round on him, telling him he was inadequate. And last week his parents were disappointed with him. She then told the Big Show to knock him out, but unlike the last few week’s Big Show didn't need to be asked twice.

Randy Orton v Rob Van Dam

The WWE Universe had been voting all night for Orton’s opponent and they chose the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. I know why, because RVD is fantastic to watch in the ring, he has all the moves of a high flyer whilst mostly remaining grounded. The Match was back and forth in the opening stages before Orton took the advantage during the commercial break. Orton wasn't out to win this match, he was out to make a statement like last week against the Miz. After Van Dam blocked the RKO with a kick to the face for another two count, he went up high and Orton took advantage, kicking him off the top rope. Randy Orton took the beating to RVD outside the ring before delivering an RKO from the top rope.

(Alberto Del Rio then came out and attacked RVD after the match when the medics were trying to take him to the back).

Backstage The Bella’s were interrupted by Randy Orton, who told Brie to upgrade to a real man, the face of the WWE something Bryan will never be. Brie responded by saying she was happy with Bryan.

A video of Stephanie and Triple H’s wedding was shown and Steph was backstage watching before she was interrupted by The Divas Champion AJ Lee who told her she was worried about the Tag Team match tonight, because her partners could turn on her. Stephanie told her that if she didn't compete she wouldn't be Divas Champion for much longer.

Fandango v Santino Marella

This was definitely a filler match, the crowd was dead and didn't really care about the outcome. Santino has been on a good run since his return and with Fandango’s track record it didn’t bode well for the dancing superstar. Marella showed signs of improvement in the ring but Fandango took advantage of Summer Rae’s distraction to hit the DDT and the finishing Leg Drop.

CM Punk returned to a thunderous ovation in his home town, he was out to respond to Paul Heyman and Ryback last week on Raw, after Ryback had put him through a table at Night of Champions.

Punk began by thanking the crowd for making him smile for the first time in eight days. But then he went on to say how he had let everyone down because Paul Heyman pinned him just over a week ago. Before using an Ice Hockey analogy to say he would fight on and he would come back from his loss because that was the Chicago way. But Heyman came out singing, presumably in a happy mood, but CM Punk again wanted to get his hands on him.

When CM Punk went to attack Heyman predictably out came Ryback and Axel began the beat down again, Punk put up a good fight but ultimately the numbers game won. Ryback lifted Punk up and dropped him through a table. The whole segment was very predictable and will lead to yet another Punk/Heyman showdown at Battleground...How long can this go on?

The Bella Twins, Cameron and Naomi v Layla, Tamina Snuka, Alicia Fox Divas Champion AJ Lee

The Total Divas started with the upper-hand over Alicia Fox but AJ tagged herself in and took the fight to Brie, but after the face-plant,(Torrie Wilson's old finisher)  Brie pinned the Divas Champion. What a disappointing match. Three Divas out of the eight got into the ring, their entrances were longer than the entire match, what are WWE doing to the Women's Division?

The Shield cut a promo backstage about how ready for the match they were, they weren't concerned that it was eleven on three, and conceded the fact that they had been thrown into it tonight but every other time they had come out on top, because they were The Hounds Of Justice.

Daniel Bryan came out before his match to address the crowd and tell them he was innocent of conspiring to win the WWE Championship. No idea where this storyline will go, I think it was just a filler to lead into Battle ground, WWE are running out of Main Event Idea's without John Cena. But the build up to Battleground began after he informed the crowd he will get his re-match for the WWE title.

Daniel Bryan seemed to anger The Shield as they made their way to the ring early and quicker than usual but Goldust and Cody Rhodes ran out of the crowd to attack The Shield, but security cleared the ring so the real match could begin. (Remeber what I said about the enemies?)

Daniel Bryan, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Zack Ryder, Rob Van Dam, The Uso’s, The Prime Time Players, Justin Gabriel v The Shield

One of The Uso’s and Rollins began the match, with JBL saying how fast Seth was, well he would have to be to combat The Uso's. The stipulation was that if you are pinned you leave and go to the back so The Shield were at a major disadvantage.

Remember half of the eleven superstars had already been in action tonight, so they would already be exhausted so it seemed the match was on more of an even keel than first thought. Dolph Ziggler tagged himself in and was beat down by Dean Ambrose. RVD was next in, heavily taped after the beating he received earlier in the night, and Ambrose hit his finisher to eliminate RVD.

Most of the injured parties were in first and straight back out as Kofi, was in with his shoulder taped up, and Ambrose used the injury to his advantage and again hit his finisher on Kofi to take their opponents down to nine.

The two big men had a showdown as Titus O’Neil and Roman Reigns collided, Roman took him took the other big man on and then hit his patented spear for the pin on Titus, Justin Gabriel tagged in and in a flash the Spear was again utilised, for another pin. Zack Ryder tried to hit the boot on Roman for another Spear to be used and the team was down to six. Quick as a flash half the team had already gone.

Daniel Bryan began the rally that say him and The Uso’s combine to get the pin on Roman Reigns for the first time in his WWE Career, it was six vs two as we went into the commercial break.

Darren Young continued the match against Dean Ambrose, Young looked to be going for a three count when Seth came off the top rope with a knee to the side of the head to take out the last member of The Prime Time Players. Dolph Ziggler came in to take on his opponent on Friday Night Smackdown for the US Title, Ziggler hit the Zig Zag for the three count on Ambrose. If that happens on Friday we could have a new Champion.

Poor Seth Rollins was alone against five superstars, he looked lost without his partners and was trying his best to get the pin on Ziggler. R-Truth was tagged in and Seth got the stomp on his head for the three count. He managed to even the odds a little but it was still four on one, and all superstars came into the ring to attack Rollins. Ambrose tried to make the save but he was dealt with by Ziggler, as was Reigns as he returned and was taken out by The Uso’s.

Daniel Bryan and Seth were left in the ring and after the diving head butt and knee to the face, Bryan got the three count over Seth Rollins.

Bryan stood tall again at the end of this week's Raw.
