Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has one final chance at Anfield, according to Anfield legend Robbie Fowler.
The striker, who received a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, is due to return to the side who face Manchester United in the Capital One Cup tonight.
Suarez will undoubtedly be itching to get back to playing football and start anew.
It will be important for the controversial player to forget about his belligerent days and focus solely on his football. That's what everyone in and around the club will be hoping for.
After previously wanting a move away from the club, this will also be an opportunity for him to show some loyalty to all those supporters who stood by him through thick and thin.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Fowler said: "The club have stood by him, so have the Liverpool supporters, and you can see why because he is a phenomenal player and you want phenomenal players in your side.
"I know in the summer it looked like he was leaving and quite rightly Liverpool expected a bit of loyalty back off him and thankfully he is still a Liverpool player."
"I don't think he'll get many more chances but I don't think he will be doing anything remotely as silly as he has."
Suarez, who was also banned for eight games and fined £40,000 for racially abusing Patrice Evra in 2011, had angered many supporters after telling the club that he wanted to play Champions League football.
And with bids from both Arsenal and Real Madrid turned down, Liverpool can consider themselves extremely fortunate to have kept a player of his calibre.
Brendan Rodgers was mentioned as saying that having Suarez back in the squad felt like a new signing worthy of £50-60m.
Ultimately, it will be down to the player to eradicate the behaviour that led to his past indiscretions and start moving in the right direction.
Fowler concluded by saying: "Let's start talking about Luis Suarez as one of the great players rather than the stupid things he does on the pitch."
