Incredible free-kick routine ends in goal

Rot-Weiss Essen may not really be known outside of Germany as they currently play in the Regionalliga West division, but their extraordinary free-kick routine has certainly gained some admirers.

The German outfit had an amazing six players standing around the ball as they prepared to take their free-kick against Wattenscheid 09.

And, after confusing their opposition, Benedikt Koep eventually stepped up to take the strike and the ball rippled into the corner of the goal.

The free-kick helped Rot-Weiss Essen to a 2-2 draw and the routine may well be used again.

Maybe we will see this type of routine in the Bundesliga or Premier League soon.
