Liverpool are monitoring ex-Barcelona youth team starlet Keita Balde Diao, according to The Express.
The 18-year-old is currently plying his trade for Italian giants Lazio after departing the Nou Camp in 2011, and now Brendan Rodgers could make an attempt to bring him to the Premier League.
Sky Sports Italia have reported that the Merseyside outfit have had the winger watched by scouts when the Italian outfit beat Legia Warsaw in the Europa League last Thursday.
Keita is currently under contract until 2017 at Lazio, but it's expected that the club would not demand a large fee for the player they signed for £250,000 from the Catalans.
Rodgers saw winger Stewart Downing leave the club in the summer and brought in Chelsea winger Victor Moses on-loan.
However, Moses may only act as a short-term option for the Liverpool boss as the star is expected to head back to Stamford Bridge once his Reds deal ends.
