Top five: Premier League strikers

The Premier League has so many great strikers, but who's the best of the best? All will be revealed below.

5. Christian Benteke

The Belgian superstar got his Aston Villa career off to a flyer as he scored 19 Premier League goals last season, it is widely thought that without Benteke Villa would have been doomed to relegation, he has already scored four goals in the Premier League this season and has just outdone Olivier Giroud, Romelu Lukaku and Daniel Sturridge to be named fifth in this list.

4. Sergio Aguero

Despite having an injury plagued 2012-13 season Aguero still managed to notch up a respectable 12 goals, however he flourished in the season before and is once again, as we all saw his epic performance in the Manchester derby.

3. Luiz Suarez

Despite bad behaviour, Luiz Suarez still deserves to be in this shortlist for his supreme performances for Liverpool last season.

He was second in the scoring charts last season with 23 Premier League goals and would have reached more than that if he hadn't of been rightly suspended for biting Branislav Ivanovic.

It is clear how important he is to his club as they fought of a summer transfer embargo from Arsenal but they refused to sell him and he looked exciting during Liverpool's 1-0 defeat to Manchester United in the League cup.

2. Wayne Rooney

The Manchester United favourite has been around the top of the scoring charts for what seems to be forever and is to put simply; a goal scoring machine, although he didn't have the greatest of seasons last year he is back with his new lucky headband and is in fine goalscoring form- just back to usual then.

1. Robin van Persie

The most clinical premier league striker with a deadly left foot and this is why he has been Premier League top scorer for the past two seasons, at both Manchester United and Arsenal.

There's not much more to say than that is rarely misses an opportunity, and you would not want him running one on one with your keeper.
