Dependability on Olivier Giroiud

Football News

Following on from the last slide, this point is driven home by the fact that Arsenal do not have a dependable goalscorer ready to step into Giroud's shoes if he gets injured.

Aside from the untested Yaya Sanogo and the predictably dismal Nicklas Bendtner Arsene Wenger is left bereft of options in the event of Giroud being unable to play, which could influence his sides ability to get goals, particularly against teams who are difficult to break down.

Wenger needs to enter the January market for a proven striker who can either partner Giroud or at the very least provide back-up for the Frenchman, otherwise Arsenal's dependability on the man who has so far scored five in eight games this campaign, may come back to haunt them.
