Chelsea star, Juan Mata is reportedly remaining positive about his future at Chelsea, despite apparently falling out with manager Jose Mourinho.

The Spaniard has made a total of two Premier League appearances this season under Mourinho, which has severely angered many Chelsea fans as the creative midfielder was one Chelsea’s best players over the past two seasons, scoring 12 goals and providing as many assists in 35 Premier League appearances.

Due to reports indicating that Mata is unsettled at Chelsea, there has been a notable increase in clubs interested in Mata. The likes of Arsenal, Valencia, and Tottenham have all expressed a desire to purchase the Spaniard.

According to The Sun, Mata went on to say: "I've been training hard but it’s not the same. You improve your rhythm by playing games.”

“I’ve worked hard and wanted to show everyone that I can play and everything is okay.

“It is easy for me to focus on football and just do what I have to do. The only thing I have in my mind is to keep working, keep training hard, keep improving and keep scoring and making assists. That’s what I did.”

Mata says he hopes his versatility can bring him back into favour.

“I’ve played in three positions. In the beginning I was playing as a left winger, then on the right and last season as a number 10. I feel comfortable playing in any offensive position.

“It’s better if a player can play in lots of positions rather than just one.”

The Spain playmaker, who won Chelsea's player of the year accolade last campaign, was left entirely out of the squad who beat Fulham at the weekend, but did get show Mourinho what he was capable of when given the chance in the Capital One Cup against Swindon Town.
