France - 1999

France were never given a hope in the build-up to the World Cup semi-final in 1999 against an All Blacks side that were everyone's favourite to lift the William Webb Ellis Trophy.

And Les Bleus found themselves 24-10 down at Twickenham after Jonah Lomu's two tries put the All Blacks in total control and heading for the final.

But the French somehow came back into the game thanks to a 28-point haul from Christophe Lamaison and they went on to win 43-31 in one of rugby's great revivals.
