The Brazilian Football Confederation have plainly forgotten Paulinho moved to Tottenham this summer because a screenshot of the squad announcement taken from a South American TV station shows a call-up for Corinthians midfielder Paulinho.

The mistake was quickly corrected, with Tottenham's Paulinho set to join up with Luis Felipe Scolari's squad to face South Korean and Zambia in upcoming friendlies.

The £17m summer signing joined Spurs from the reigning Club World Cup champions and has quickly settled into life at White Hart Lane.

He's already a key part of Andre Villas-Boas's midfield, and was building a promising partnership alongside fellow Spurs new boy Etienne Capoue before the Frenchman's injury.

Paulinho has 20 caps and five goals for his country, and is hopeful of working his way into a starting position in Scolari's midfield for the World Cup on home soil next summer.

He impressed in the Confederations Cup earlier this year as Brazil won the competition, beating Spain in the final.

Other players also called up for the friendly matches include Lucas Leiva from Liverpool, Shakhtar's Bernard and Chelsea's Ramires.
