Inter Milan are chasing Tottenham target Domenico Criscito, according to talkSPORT.
Versatile Italian defender Criscito currently represents Russian top-flight outfit Zenit St Petersburg after moving to the club from Serie A side Genoa in June 2011.
The former Juventus man has proved a big hit at the Petrovsky Stadium but his career was temporarily halted in March after the 26-year-old sustained a cruciate knee ligament injury in a friendly fixture against AC Siena that required surgery and subsequently sidelined him for a number of months.
With the player now looking to return to full fitness, it has been speculated that Zenit may be persuaded into selling the Italy international, who has won 20 caps for the Azzurri.
However, despite being persistently linked with a switch away from the Russian runners-up, the Cercola-born defender remained at Zenit beyond the end of the transfer window.
According to talkSPORT, Walter Mazzarri's Inter could be set to rival Spurs for the Italian's signature when the window re-opens for business in January.
