Tottenham v Chelsea: Five key battles (5)

Published 5 Comments

Paulinho/Mousa Dembele v Oscar

With the hugely popular Juan Mata still not able to force himself into a starting role for Chelsea under Mourinho, Brazilian starlet Oscar is almost certain to continue in the traditional 'no.10' role for the Blues.

His ability on the ball and habit of producing world-class strikes from distance will undoubtedly be a concern for Spurs, and the midfield pairing of Dembele and Paulinho will need to work together in order to ensure he is not given the space necessary to work his samba magic.

Villas-Boas may even choose to deploy Oscar's compatriot Sandro - arguably his only out-and-out defensive midfield presence - in order to provide adequate protection for the back four.
