Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant is impressed by Derrick Rose's recovery from ACL surgery, according to ESPN.
The Thunder forward thinks Rose is 'looking great' ahead of the new season, after the 2011 MVP missed the entire 2012/13 campaign.
The two NBA superstars worked out together this off-season, and Durant revealed Rose is looking sharp on the court as he builds up his fitness towards the start of the new season.
"He's been looking great," Durant told Comcast SportsNet Chicago earlier this week. "It was really good for him that he took the whole year off.
"A lot of people criticised him for it and really were upset about him not playing, but it was the best thing for him. I can tell because he looks better."
Rose came under fire after he was medically cleared to play by the second half of last season, but opted to take the whole year off.
Even in his absence, the Chicago Bulls reached the second round of the playoffs, beating the Brooklyn Nets in a seven-game thriller in the first round only to lose to the eventual champions Miami Heat.
He's pencilled in to feature in the Bulls' match against the Indiana Pacers on October 5. The Bulls' first preseason fixture will double as Rose's comeback game - and will be his first taste of competitive action for close to a year and a half.
