Who is the better duo? This is the question on the lips of most football loving fans. The close control and twisty trickery of Messi and Neymar versus the strength and lightning speed of Ronaldo and Bale, who tops it?
Arguably four of the best players out there today, the Real Madrid and Barcelona duos are due to face off for the first time on the 26th October 2013.
It is expected to be just like a normal El Clasico - a heavyweight boxing bout.
Coming out victorious on the night doesn't necessarily mean you're the better duo but it does mean you have 'Big Match Temperament' and that scores you brownie points in the fans' books.
Messi who for me is the most talented of the lot and has proved himself over and over again is best described in two words - sheer brilliance.
Along with the promising 21-year-old Neymar who certainly shut his critics up after the Confederation's Cup in Brazil. They seem to be linking up just fine, Neymar may not be getting on the score sheet as often as we hoped but nonetheless we've seen quite a few "one-two" goals between the Barcelona duo already.
Apart from their many attributes, these two mainly rely on their similar strengths, close control and twisty trickery.
Ronaldo who we all know is one of the best. Had it not been for Messi's existence the Portuguese star would certainly be the best. Along with Gareth Bale, the Welsh star has a lot to prove with his enormous price tag. If you ask me, too much to prove. These two mainly rely on strength and speed. Bale already getting his first league goal heats things up even more.
A lot will depend on the way they gel together and their midfielders will play a vital role too. The likes of Isco and Iniesta may just win the battle for the two respected duos.
Personally the Messi & Neymar duo looks more promising to me. The South American pair possess more talent in my eyes.
