Jack Wilshere could miss Napoli clash

Arsenal's hopes of beating Napoli in their upcoming Champions League clash suffered a blow today, as it was revealed Jack Wilshere may have to miss the game, according to Goal.

The young midfielder is integral to Arsene Wenger's side but is facing a struggle to be fit in time for the Napoli clash after sustaining an ankle injury during the Gunners' 2-1 victory over Swansea at the weekend.

Although supporters will welcome the news that the problem is believed to merely be a slight knock rather than an injury that will force Wilshere out for another lengthy spell, they will certainly be bemoaning their luck at losing a key player ahead of a fixture that has the potential to be difficult to navigate.

It is thought Tomas Rosicky could be recalled to the starting lineup after his return from injury, meaning Wilshere may make the bench.

Cazorla is also set to return from his period on the sidelines, having almost recovered from a thigh injury that has kept him out of action for a month.
