Fulham chase Greek defender Kostas Manolas

Fulham have sight their sights on signing in-demand Olympiakos defender Kostas Manolas in January, according to TalkSport.

The 22-year-old centre-back could be set to test his skills in the Premier League, with Fulham manager Martin Jol reportedly looking to strengthen his squad.

Manolas - who has three caps for Greece - signed for his current side from former Super League rivals AEK Athens in 2012.

A host of clubs have been linked with the young Greek defender, and David Moyes even agreed terms with the defender during his time at Everton - only for the deal to fall through.

His current deal doesn't run out until 2016, so Fulham will have to match Olympiakos' valuation in order to acquire the talented defender in January.

Fulham currently sit in the Premier League relegation-zone after the first five games with four points and conceding seven goals, so the acquisition of a defender is sure to delight the Craven Cottage faithful.
