Chris Paul is the best point guard in the NBA. He can do it all: On the defensive side he is a nuisance to any player, and on the offensive side he can turn a whole team on its head.

Paul's best move in the offense is his pick and rolls with either Blake Griffin or Deandre Jordan that have earned him the nickname 'Lob City'. With CP3's killer passes and the explosiveness of both Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan you can expect nothing other than amazing alley-oops.

Chris Paul isn't too bad himself when it comes to putting points on the board, he averaged 16.9 points per game in the 2012-13 season. For a point guard that focuses on setting his team up, averaging 17 points a game isn't too bad, especially when he was averaging 9.7 assists per game.

Paul's offence isn't what puts him above all the point guards like Tony Parker, Russel Westbrook and Stephen Curry. It's something Paul has that all these other point guards don't. Defence. Paul is by far the best all-around point guard. He keeps up with the Westbrooks and the Currys on offence and he can keep up with the Rondos and the Conleys on defence.

Paul is an opportunistic defender, averaging 2.5 steals per game last season, leading the league for the fifth time in the last six seasons.

Not only that, but Chris Paul is a great leader - he knows how to get all his teammates involved and improve the whole teams level of play. The LA Clippers have great team chemistry and are becoming a better team every year they play. Chris Paul leads the team with a chip on his shoulder and doesn't back down from anyone.

Chris Paul is the best point guard in the NBA. But despite his good form, it's not a sure thing that he is going to stay at the top. Derrick Rose has returned from injury and is looking to take back the number one point guard position.

Young guards like Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving and Damien Lillard are also going to come out firing looking to take their teams to the top. Chris Paul needs another Killer season for him to keep his spot at the top of the point guard list, and he has shown he is more than capable.
