Rafa Benitez wants to raid his former side Liverpool for two of their biggest stars in January, according to TalkSport.

The Napoli manager has set his sights on bringing Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva and centre-back Martin Skrtel to Serie A after already landing Red's goalkeeper Pepe Reina during the summer.

The Spanish manager brought both players to Anfield during his time there and wants to reunite himself with the duo as he looks to add extra strength to his Champions League side.

Both Leiva and Skrtel have been been key figures for Liverpool in recent times and manager Brendan Rodgers is not likely to allow them to leave without replacements being lined up.

Napoli, who suffered a midweek blip after drawing 1-1 with bottom of the league side Sassuolo, got back to winning ways on Saturday with a 2-0 away win against Genoa, with both goals coming from Macedonia forward Goran Pandev.

They sit in 2nd place in the Serie A table after collecting 16 points from their first six matches.
