David Beckham has seen son Brooklyn take his first tentative steps towards a career in football. Unfortunately for Manchester United fans, however, the teenager is currently on the books at Queens Park Rangers, and not with the Premier League champions.
The 13-year-old made his debut for QPR against Charlton under-14s on Sunday, and David Beckham was in attendance to watch the encounter in London, which was won by the youth team from the Valley.
Along with Beckham, former Chelsea captain Dennis Wise was also on the sideline as a spectator, with his son playing for QPR alongside Brooklyn, and the pair of proud dads were pictured sharing a joke together.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United superstar was happy to pose for photos with fans and would have seemingly been impressed by the performance of his son.
Brooklyn was reported to have been deployed on the right side of midfield - just like his father - and was credited by the Daily Star as having played a 'blinder', despite being on the losing team.
There will undoubtedly continue to be a strong interest in Brooklyn as his talent is nurtured at the QPR academy, although dreams of an eventual move to Manchester United remain a distant ambition at present.
