Everton remain the Premier League's only unbeaten team this season, after securing wins against West Bromwich Albion and Chelsea in their last two matches.

Roberto Martinez's side could clinch fourth place tonight if they win against Newcastle United at home at Goodison Park.

Everton haven't given away any league goals at home since Robson Kanu scored for Reading back in March.

And, 32-year-old Everton midfielder Gareth Barry could become only the tenth player ever to make 500 Premier League appearances, if he features in tonight's match.

Newcastle, currently 16th, have won two out of three of their last matches, against Fulham in August (1-0) and Aston Villa (2-1) earlier this month.

However, Everton sit 8th presently, with midfielder Darron Gibson hoping to return from a knee injury in what would be his first league start of the season.

Sky Sports have reported that Magpies manager Alan Pardew has confidence in his side's attacking potential after beating Leeds United 2-0 in the Capital One Cup.

Newcastle trio Yohan Cabaye, Hatem Ben Arfa and Loic Remy look set to play, having been rested midweek for the League Cup win over Leeds, however an appearance from Jonas Gutierrez doesn't look likely.

Newcastle's track record at Goodison Park has secured only one win in their last ten league trips, however the Magpies did draw 2-2 there last season after a last-minute equaliser from former striker Demba Ba.
