Manchester United are chasing Austrian starlet Martin Hinteregger, according to the man himself.
TalkSPORT reports that the highly-rated 21-year-old, who is being pursued by the likes of Liverpool, Juventus and Arsenal, has revealed that the Red Devils want to take him to Old Trafford as they look to strengthen their defence.
The stopper also suggested that he might be interested in a move to the Premier League champions if they were to come in for him.
Hinteregger was quoted on the website as having said: "I confirm, there is interest in me from Manchester United and a top Italian club.
"I am honoured, I honestly did not expect that. Actually my goal is to stay here, but in any case I will talk to my agent and consider whether a transfer might be beneficial."
The youngster, who currently plays for the Austrian U21 team, is considered a talent with bags of potential, and Moyes could well view him as the ideal long-term replacement for either Nemanja Vidic or Rio Ferdinand.
The current United defence has come under criticism this term, as both Vidic and Ferdinand are beginning to show signs of their advancing age.
It will be interesting to see if Moyes makes the decision to perhaps field Jonny Evans against Shakhtar in United's upcoming Champions League fixture.
