David Moyes will be given £60m with which to improve his squad in January, according to the Metro.
The Manchester United boss, who struggled to add to his team during the summer transfer window, has been told by the club's heirachy that he will have plenty of funds at his disposal.
United have endured their worst start to a season for 24 years and many are now doubting Moyes' long-term suitability to the Old Trafford hot seat, a notion that was given added impetus given the Scots' inability to bring in big name signings.
However the Glazer family, who rule the roost in the red half of Manchester, are keen to rectify any current squad problems, and are believed to have assured Moyes that he will be given enough of a transfer budget to compete with the biggest teams in Europe.
It is thought the figure is around the £60m mark, which would definitely give Moyes the money to return for players like Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrera and Everton's Leighton Baines.
It remains to be seen whether or not the former Everton boss will prefer to land one marquee signing or rather focus on strengthening his team through numbers.
