Manchester United are preparing an ambitious January spending spree in order to improve their current squad, according to the Express.
Reports have emerged today suggesting Moyes could be given anywhere in between £60million to £80million in order to pursue his transfer interests, with summer targets Leighton Baines, Ander Herrera and Eliaquim Mangala heading the list.
The new United boss has admitted that new additions need to be made in the New Year, in the wake of his club's worst start to a season in 24 years leaving them 12th in the Premier League.
It is believed that Moyes will return to his pursuits of the aforementioned trio as soon as possible, with the majority of supporters calling for marquee signings to be made.
Leighton Baines was the subject of more than one bid from United in the summer but their advances were firmly rebuffed by Everton. Despite trying to sign him on the cheap, Moyes may have to pay upwards of £15m to tempt Everton into a sale.
Ander Herrera's proposed summer move to Old Trafford was also scuppered, after a number of complications led to the plug being pulled. His release clause currently stands close to £30m, but it remains to be seen whether or not United will match it or look elsewhere.
Mangala, who many believe could go some way to reasserting dominance in a United defence that has looked incredibly suspect so far this year, is wanted by a number of Premier League clubs but could cost as much as £37m to prise away from Porto.
Despite the estimated sum needed to bring the three to Manchester standing at around £80million, it is thought the Glazer's are happy to finance such transactions in a bid to turn the club's form around.
