It's been a great start to the season for Tottenham Hotspur, as they climbed to third in the Premier League and the top of Group K of the Europa League in September.
Of course, that all could change as the season progresses, but French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris believes Spurs need to keep up momentum if they are to qualify for the knockout stages of the Europe League.
His statement comes ahead of Thursday's match against Russian club Anzhi Makh'kala, who currently sit second. Andre Villas-Boas' side are top following their 3-0 win over Tromso at White Hart Lane a fortnight ago.
Speaking to Spurs' official website, 26-year-old Lloris said: "It’s our first away game in this competition so it’s important to keep our confidence and go to win, and to get three more points.
"I think in this competition it’s important to qualify as quickly as possible, and so to go in that direction we need to win all our games in the first meeting."
So far, Villas-Boas' side have won four out of six games played in the Premier League, and seem to be looking to build on their strong performance from last season. Tottenham ended the season fifth, just a place outside the Champions League.
Lloris added: "If we win this game we have a great chance to finish in the first two in the group. It should be a difficult game away in Russia, it’s a long trip but everybody wants to get three more points.
"There is a good atmosphere in the squad and we are happy to be all together."
Spurs' next Premier League match is on Sunday against West Ham, who they beat 3-2 the last time they met thanks to a stunning late Bale goal.
