When Arsenal decided they would build a new stadium rather than redevelop their old Highbury ground, Arsene Wenger was made aware that funding for players would be extremely limited.
But even with restricted finances, Wenger survived at the top level of European and English football with the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Thierry Henry maintaining the Gunners' excellent record.
Now the stadium is amongst the finest in the country, and Wenger is responsible for keeping Arsenal competitive during the period of transition to the new ground. Even if Arsenal never win another trophy under Arsene Wenger, the Emirates Stadium will be a huge part of his Arsenal legacy.
