Wenger's five greatest moments (5)

Double-Double Winners

Arsene Wenger was at the helm for two of Arsenal's greatest ever seasons - winning both the FA Cup and Premier League double twice.

In 1997/98, Arsene Wenger had made only a few additions to the squad he inherited from his predecessor Bruce Rioch - Marc Overmars, Nicolas Anelka and Emmanuel Petit all adding to the solid core of Arsenal's legendary defence. Tony Adams, Steve Bould and Nigel Winterburn provided a platform for the genius of top scorer and Player of the Year Dennis Bergkamp. Arsenal won both the FA Cup and Premier League with ease.

Four years later, the famous back line of Adams and Bould had reached the end of of its life, with summer signing Sol Campbell becoming a club legend in his first season, despite joining from rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Arsenal clinched the double with a 4-0 win over Everton.

Without Wenger, Arsenal may not have been able to boast the haul of trophies that followed the Frenchman's leadership.
