AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy has suffered a new injury setback and voiced his anger on Twitter.

The 20-year-old Italy international was set to return for his side in their Champions League group game against Ajax, having sat on the sidelines for a month with a muscular problem.

But, after he incurred a micro-fracture of the fourth metatarsal in his left foot, he could be set to miss another four weeks to leave the Serie 'A' side frustrated.

Writing on the his official Twitter account, the forward said: "I cannot believe it!!!!"

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri told the club's official website: "He could be out between 20 days to a month.

"It is a real shame because he was in good condition having recovered from a muscular injury."

The news adds to Milan's recent injury woes with Ignazio Abate, Daniele Bonera, Matias Silvestre, Mattia De Sciglio, Andrea Poli and Kaka all picking up knocks over the last few weeks at the San Siro.

Milan must also travel to play Juventus in the Italian top flight on Saturday without superstar Mario Balotelli, as he serves the last of his three-match ban having been sent off in the 2-1 defeat to Napoli.
