Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher is nearing a return from injury after his training regime was stepped up this week, according to The Metro.
The 29-year-old, who hasn't played for the Red Devils since December, was thought to be considering his future in the game, but it now looks likely he could return to action within the coming weeks.
The Scottish international's return could act as a timely boost for United and Moyes after the club have suffered their worst start to a league campaign in 24-years.
The Red Devils were humiliated at rivals Manchester City as they went down 4-1 and then were beaten in their own back yard against West Brom this past weekend.
And, with Moyes having missed out on a number of top midfield targets, Fletcher could yet play a key role in the Red Devils' campaign.
Moyes will be hoping Fletcher can provide the experience and leadership to help United get their campaign back on track.
United travel to Ukraine to take on Shakhtar Donetsk tomorrow in the Champions League, but the match will come a couple of weeks too early for Moyes' returning midfielder.
