New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Bress passed Fran Tarkenton on the all-time passing yards list during his stellar performance against the Miami Dolphins on Monday.

Tarkenton previously held the record for most passing yards with 47,003 but has since been passed by a slew of modern quarterbacks who are ripping up the record books.

Brees moved past that tally last night with 418 yards gained as he helped the Saints maintain their 100% start to the season with an impressive win in Louisiana over Miami.

He now sits 6th on the all-time with Hall-Of-Famer Warren Moon, who threw 49,325 career yards, in his sights.

Top of the lot is all-time great Brett Favre, who accumulated an astonishing 71,838 yards during his illustrious career. That puts him well ahead of second-placed Dan Marino, who racked up 10,000 fewer years.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning’s career total of 60,957 puts him within touching distance of Marino, and he could even surpass him on Sunday against the Cowboys.
