AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli added another controversial incident to his catalogue on Tuesday night after diving to win a stoppage-time penalty against Ajax in the Champions League.

The Italian appeared to deceive the referee by making it look as if he had been dragged to the ground by Ajax defender Mike van der Hoorn, who was shown a yellow card, when replays showed Balotelli was responsible.

The former Manchester City star must have learned this latest trick from Real Madrid defender Pepe, who hit the headlines last week after doing exactly the same thing against Elche in La Liga.

To add insult to injury for Ajax and Van deer Hoorn, it was Balotelli who then stepped up and coolly stroked the ball past Jasper Cillessen to earn the Rossoneri a valuable point.

Balotelli's play-acting denied Ajax a deserved three points, leaving the Dutch champions third in Group H on one point, while Milan sit second in the group on four points.
