Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic is being monitored by Italian giants AC Milan, according to talkSPORT.

The Red Devils' centre-back runs out of contract at United at the end of the season and has yet to renew his deal with David Moyes' side.

And, now it appears that Italian giants AC Milan are ready to swoop for the Serbian ace, who will be allowed to talk to interested clubs in January.

United's boss David Moyes has recently hinted that the club will give their skipper a new deal, but for now the 31-year-old's future looks uncertain.

Vidic has been troubled with injury over the past couple of years, but has so far played a key role for United in this campaign.

The Red Devils may well welcome back their skipper tonight as they play Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine.

The centre-back was rested at the weekend as the champions suffered a shock defeat at to West Brom.
