Manchester City v Bayern Munich: Five key battles (4)

Aleksandar Kolarov/Gael Clichy v Arjen Robben

Football News
24/7

With French left-back Clichy having been missing of late through injury, 27-year-old Kolarov has deputised with mixed success.

Although he has been with the 2011/12 Premier League champions since the summer of 2010, the Serbian is not generally considered to be a key first-team member at the Etihad and if Clichy is not fit enough to feature on Wednesday, he could prove the hosts' weak link as he is almost certain to face Arjen Robben.

The talented Dutchman barely requires an introduction given his electrifying performances for both club and country in recent seasons. Whether it is Clichy or Kolarov who is chosen to start, Robben will be looking to utilise his formidable pace and trickery to give the Bavarian outfit the edge.
