Pep Guardiola has become synonymous with the fluid, possession based football which has inspired so many to try and replicate it.

The Catalan's time at Barcelona was historical, winning a treble in his first season, and claiming 14 trophies over his four seasons at the helm, making him the most successful coach in the club's history.

After a year long sabbatical, Guardiola took over from Jupp Heynckes at Bayern Munich, after the German side won the treble - beating Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final 2-1.

The Germans last match against an English side was in the 2013 UEFA Super Cup, where they defeated Chelsea on penalties.
