Manchester United and Chelsea face another Italian fight in the race to sign Viktor Fischer, according to reports.
Tuttosport claims that the Nerazzurri have set their sights on the talented teenager, with manager Walter Mazzarri looking to bolster his side’s ranks in the January transfer window.
Fisher’s profile rose dramatically in Italy earlier this week, with the Danish international producing a fine individual display in the controversial 1-1 draw with AC Milan in the Champions League.
Inter aren’t the only club interested in the 19-year-old however, with talkSPORT reporting on Tuesday that Roma also wanted to bring the player to Serie ‘A’.
Both teams will face transfer competition from England though, with Manchester United one of the clubs eager to land the left-sided winger.
The Red Devils were linked with a move for the player in early May following Sir Alex Ferguson’s announcement that he would retire, and the champions continue to be linked with the player following David Moyes’ appointment at Old Trafford.
Fischer would be one for the future at Manchester United, and offer another exciting option on the opposite flank to Wilfried Zaha for years to come.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have a track record of bringing talented young players to Stamford Bridge in recent times, with Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Marco Van Ginkel three high-profile examples. Fischer could be the next in-line, with the west London outfit reportedly pursuing his signature.
With experience already gained in the Champions League, Fischer would instantly offer the Blues another option in attack both domestically and in Europe should Jose Mourinho wish to pursue the signature.
However, the Chelsea manager will know this player won't come cheap with such high interest around Europe.
