Real Madrid & Arsenal striker target to cost £55m
Liverpool will demand £55m for Luis Suarez when the January transfer window comes around
Liverpool will demand a fee of £55 million for their controversial striker Luis Suarez in January, according to the Mail Online.
The Reds are bracing themselves for Real Madrid to make an offer of £45m for the Uruguayan, however the Merseyside club will seek at-least £10m more than the potential bid from the Spanish giants.
And, with Arsenal still monitoring Suarez's situation at Anfield, Brendan Rodgers' side would rather not sell Suarez to a Premier League rival.
However, any potential January deal for Suarez could depend on how the club are performing by December.
It's unlikely Rodgers will be willing to sell the striker if the Reds are still in with a chance of winning the league title.
Liverpool currently sit second in the table and Suarez, who made his return to action last week against Manchester United, scored a brace in Liverpool's latest league win.
Rodgers' side take on Premier League new-boys Crystal Palace at Anfield this weekend and Suarez will hope to get on the scoresheet once again.
