Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster is attracting interest from European giants Barcelona, according to Catalan daily Sport.

Barcelona are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper as their current number one Victor Valdes will leave the Camp Nou next summer and his deputy Jose Manuel Pinto is out of contract at the end of the season.

Forster - who is likely to be named in Roy Hodgson's England squad to face Montenegro and Poland later on today - impressed against Barcelona on Tuesday, which has prompted the Catalan giants into the upping their interest in the 25-year-old.

Barcelona are likely to face stern competition for Forster's signature with a number of Premier League sides keen on signing the Englishman.

Reports suggest Celtic would sell Forster if they were to receive a bid in excess of £10million, a price tag that would not frighten Gerardo Martino's Barcelona.

Manchester United star David de Gea and Chelsea's Petr Cech are also said to be on Martino's wish list.
