Luis Suarez is still said to be desperate to move to Real Madrid in the forthcoming January transfer window, according to Spanish papers this morning.
Suarez, who was at the centre of masses of transfer speculation throughout the summer as he tried to push through a move away from Anfield, has only recently returned from his 10-match ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic last season.
Although Liverpool have continually supported the Uruguayan striker despite the controversy that has afflicted him throughout his time in England, Suarez is still said to be very keen on a move to Spain in order to cement his dream of Champions League football.
Those within Madrid are reportedly still open to the idea of trying to sign Suarez in January in order to replace a void in their striking options, one that has emerged since selling Gonzalo Higuain this summer.
Higuain's absence has not been helped by the out-of-form Karim Benzema, who has struggled for goals this season, thus intensifying Madrid's need for a striker.
Many believe Suarez would be an ideal fit for the Bernabeu given his world-class status and the fact that he is not cup tied in Europe given Liverpool's failure to qualify for a European competition this season.
