Champions League side Bayern Leverkusen have entered the race to sign Chelsea starlet Kevin de Bruyne, according to TalkSport.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after apparently falling out with manager Jose Mourinho, with a number of clubs initially expressing an interest in his services.
Werder Bremen declared their intent to bring the Belgium youngster back to Germany - after he spent last season on loan at the club and greatly impressed, netting 10 times in the Bundesliga.
But they now face competition from German rivals Leverkusen and Wolfsburg - who both want the midfielder to boost their ranks.
De Bruyne scored 10 goals in 32 appearances whilst with Bremen last season but has made only three appearances for Chelsea this season.
The Belgian midfielder was left out of Jose Mourinho's last two squads after producing a disappointing performance against Swindon in the Capital One Cup, which has created rumoured friction between both player and manager.
However there are reports from today suggesting De Bruyne wants to fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.
