Jose Mourinho rejects press conference claims

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has rejected claims that he walked out of his pre Champions League press conference on Tuesday, reports ESPN.

Reports has suggested that the Blues boss had stormed out after he criticised the press for asking about Kevin De Bruyne, who was not part of the squad that played Steaua Bucuresti.

The 'Special One' has instead insisted that he said goodbye and perhaps he was taken the wrong way.

However, Mourinho has said that he holds no grudges after the incident.

And, speaking to reporters, this time ahead of Chelsea's clash with Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday, Mourinho said: "I'm enjoying it. What people wrote was not true. I had to go to the training session. The press conference was supposed to be together with Frank Lampard but he was with the medical department.

"I had my press conference. I didn't want to wait for the translation so I stood up and said goodbye. Maybe people took it wrong way because of what I said. It wasn't what people said. But that's fine. It sells."

Mourinho and his Blues side will be hoping to gain all three points this weekend after a fairly inconsistent start to the campaign.

The Stamford Bridge outfit have won just half of their opening six league games and currently sit outside the top four places in fifth position.
