E-Cigarette brand Neo have offered Jack Wilshere a six-figure sum to endorse their brand of electronic cigarettes.
After photos emerged today of Wilshere enjoying a cigarette outside a bar, the brand have approached the England star with an offer of endorsement. E-Cigarette company Neo's Director Estee Oren told The Mirror:
"As a professional footballer and a role model to millions of young fans, we can understand the controversy caused by Jack puffing on a cigarette.
"So we have offered him a significant sum today to officially endorse our product as a healthier alternative to smoking."
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said he is unhappy with Wilshere's decision to smoke cigarettes, and plans to hold talks with the young midfielder.
Wilshere earlier on Friday took to Twitter to respond to the photos, posting a picture of legendary French midfielder Zinedine Zidane smoking, followed by the message: 'For the record…I don't smoke!'
Electronic cigarettes are a smokeless and tobaccoless cigarette that provides smokers with nicotine in place of regular cigarettes. Many people use E-Cigarettes to help manage nicotine cravings when quitting smoking.
